Yes, because Legends of Lorem is a tabletop roleplaying game just like DnD, Pathfinder, Kids on Bikes, etc. are TRPGs. It's from that genre of game.

No, because even though Legends of Lorem is a group narrative roleplaying game the rules are far simpler and gameplay more rapid than what most people imagine when they think of a game like DnD. In Lorem you are meant to play shorter campaigns, though they can still be carried through several sessions of play. However this game is designed with the idea that you will make many characters and travel through many stories at a pace that matches your personal play style without all the additional challenges of complex rules and leveling systems.

No! This game is fun for everyone, even if you have no intent to use it in a therapeutic or educational setting. Just because we designed with those settings in mind does not mean it's only for therapy. We enjoy playing this game in regular sessions with friends and family.

Yes! We plan on releasing new Storybooks regularly for our Guides who like to have someone else come up with an outline before they plunge into the quest.

We have worked hard to make Legends of Lorem as simple as possible when it comes to learning the mechanics and gameplay. For a beginning player who is coming to Lorem for the first time it usually takes about 15-30 minutes to set up a character, create a simple backstory, and learn the basics of gameplay.

However, If you are planning on leading the story as the storyteller (or DM/GM) you will want to plan more time in advance of your play sessions to ensure that your players have a great time. Reading a story module or creating your own story for players to interact with varies based on the length and complexity of your chosen story. So... plan accordingly.
